3 days’ tour: visit the World Heritage Strasbourg + Baden-Baden thermal baths + Lake Titisee in the Black Forest in Germany + the fairy-tale town of Alsace – Colmar

Depart from Place d’Italie at 8am for Strasbourg, a UNESCO World Heritage city. On arrival, you will visit the European Parliament, the European Court of Human Rights and the Council of Europe, the Petit-Francais district with its small bridges, its medieval wooden-beamed houses and baroque sandstone buildings, its canals and criss-crossing bridges, and its old houses with brown roofs and black wood-panelled facades.

Then you will visit the Alsace Cathedral district in the old town, where La cathédrale de Notre-Dame is famous for its Gothic style, its Renaissance astronomical clock and its carved and decorated entrance. Finally, free time to visit the Strasbourg Christmas Market, famous since 1570, the largest Christmas market in France and one of the ten most famous in Europe, welcoming over two million visitors each year.

Breakfast
After breakfast, departure for Baden-Baden, a town known for its spa and health resort, a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2021. Situated at the foot of the Black Forest (Schwarzwald), the thermal springs gush out from a depth of 2,000 metres, this town has 12 mineral thermal springs, including the more modern Caracalla-Therme and the historic Roman-Irish Friedrichsbad. The temperature of the spring water can reach up to 68°C which could treat various diseases such as heart disease, circulatory system disease, rheumatism, joint pain, poor metabolism, respiratory system disease etc.
Afterwards, we leave for Titisee, the lake in the Black Forest in Germany. Titisee is a lake that was formed during the last ice age. Today, the lake is used for leisure activities such as swimming, windsurfing and pedal boats. The crystal-clear water of the Titisee lake attracts thousands of bathers to the climatic resort of Titisee every year.

Breakfast
After breakfast, departure for Colmar, a fairytale town in Alsace. The town has a rich architectural heritage, including an ancient collegiate church, several convents, a remarkable theatre, canals (Little Venice) and medieval houses. Its old town has cobbled streets lined with medieval half-timbered and early Renaissance buildings. The 13th century Gothic church of St. Martin is located in the Cathedral Square in the centre of the town. It is also a city of culture, home to the Unterlinden Museum, which houses the Issenheim Altarpiece. Colmar is also the birthplace of the creator of the Statue of Liberty in New York, Auguste Bartholdi, and of Jean-Jacques Waltz. Colmar is also the birthplace of the Alsatian vineyard.
Return to Paris around 8pm, end of the trip.
